There are many beaches in the South Klima, Kledi, Sarpa, Fyki, Marathonas, Bo Campo, and moving towards the port there is the Avra beach next to the port. Towards the north of Aegina island is the fishing village of Souvala with its own beach, and further North is Vagia and Agia Marina beach. There are many other small beaches often accessed by boat dotted around the island.
The weather is mild in the winter and very warm in the summer July and August are the hottest months often with a breeze in the latter part of the day.
If eating is your pleasure the island has lots of cafes, tavernas, bars and beach bars Perdika is well known for its fish tavernas and in the town it has its  own fish market a trip to the quayside early in the morning a chat with the local fisherman and you will be able to buy  fresh fish straight from the sea.
The beautiful coast line is a great place to walk heading from the town towards Souvala you will see Niko Kazantzakis Street which is named after the celebrated Greek author of Zorba the Greek. Many artists have visited the island and lots of their works are seen on you travels.
A visit to Agios Nectarios , the Temple of Aphaia or Kolona (Temple of Apollo) Museum, Markelos Tower are all must do’s on your stay in Aegina.  There are private organised tours on the island too.
Agistri island and Moni island are easily accessible from Aegina island by local ferries or boats.
Pistachios are grown everywhere we are often called Pistachio island there are many vendors particularly in Aegina town along the sea front.
